To start things off:

It’s close to 4 AM here in Salt Lake and I just haven’t been able to get in the mood for sleep. 24 hours ago, I woke up in New York. I’m exhausted, but tonight I’m kept awake by the feeling that I’m not doing enough to document and understand my life.

Like most people these days, I have a lot on my mind. I’ve been organizing my thoughts, experiences, and goals in different ways. I’m trying new things and embracing the moments when I feel that I resonate with something. I’ve been taking notes. I’ve been reflecting on my gratitude for the societal progress that I’ve witnessed and been a part of. I’ve been thinking about what I’ll be remembered for. I’ve been thinking about what I’ll remember other people for.

I’m extremely privileged to live the life of a professional traveler. It shapes the way I see the world and my place in it. For the first time, I’m bringing some cameras and notebooks along for the journey. If I lose another feeling that I swore I’d never forget, it’s on me. I just wish I would have started sooner.

Through this blog, I look forward to sharing some of these photos with you along with the context and anecdotes that make them special to me.
